Terms of use and contracting

Last updated: April 2026

These terms govern your use of AbsolutePDF and set out the rights and obligations of both parties. By creating an account or using the editor you accept them, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

Acceptance

By accessing the website or any AbsolutePDF tool you become a user and accept these terms in full, along with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Access is free except for your own internet connection cost; you don't need to register to browse, only to subscribe. You confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and undertake not to use the service for unlawful purposes.

Service provider and applicable law

The website absolutepdf.com (the "Site") is operated by AI Solutions Apps S.L. (tax ID ESB22852297), a company incorporated under the laws of Spain, with registered office at C/ creueta, 08870 Barcelona, Spain. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, form the legal framework governing use of the Site, and are drafted in line with applicable law — including Spain's Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and E-Commerce (LSSI-CE) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). They are permanently available, in the published languages, so you can read, save or print them at any time. By legal obligation we keep the electronic records of purchases; you can request a copy at any time at support@absolutepdf.com.

Description of the service

AbsolutePDF is a browser-based PDF editor. It includes text editing (font, weight, colour, alignment, insertion and re-flow), image tools (insert, replace, crop and round), signatures (drawn, typed or uploaded), shapes and free-hand drawing, page operations (rotate, duplicate, delete, merge, split, crop margins and reorder), in-document search, password-based encryption (AES-256, AES-128 or RC4) and compression. Editing is available for free, including as a guest and without an account. Downloading or exporting the resulting file requires an active trial or paid subscription; the cloud library is also part of the subscription.

Your account

You can register with email + password or with Google. You're responsible for keeping your credentials private and for every action taken from your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not transfer or assign your account to a third party — the service is personal and non-transferable.

Eligibility and minors

AbsolutePDF is meant for users aged 14 or older. By using the service you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. We don't knowingly let minors under 14 create an account; if we learn that one has, we'll close it. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle minors' data.

Trial and subscription

The Premium plan starts with a 2-day trial for €0.50 — that reduced charge validates your card and lets you download your edited files, plus the cloud library, throughout the trial. Unless you cancel, the subscription auto-renews at the monthly price of €39.95. You can cancel yourself at any time from the Payments section of your account; cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until that date. To the extent permitted by law, payments are non-refundable and no refunds are issued for partial periods, without prejudice to the right of withdrawal below.

Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in euros or your local currency and include VAT applicable when we bill consumers resident in the European Union, unless explicitly marked "tax excluded". Depending on your country of residence or your status, the operation may be exempt or not subject to VAT, so the final price at checkout may differ from the advertised one. Business customers with a valid intra-EU VAT number are invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism — send your VAT number to support@absolutepdf.com. We may change prices for future renewals giving at least 30 days' notice; the agreed price stays in effect for the current billing cycle. Published pricing errors are not binding and are corrected diligently.

Payment methods

Payments are processed via Stripe over secure pages encrypted with TLS/SSL; we never store your card details. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. By starting a subscription you authorise Stripe to store your payment method and to take the recurring charges until you cancel. If your card requires additional authentication (3-D Secure / SCA) we'll redirect you to complete it. If a charge fails, Stripe will retry over the following days; if it keeps failing for a reasonable period we may suspend access.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

As an EU consumer you have a 14 calendar-day right of withdrawal from any charge, with no need to justify the request. To exercise it, email support from the address tied to your account — we process it without questions within that window. For digital services delivered immediately (e.g. downloading an edited PDF) the withdrawal right may not apply to that already-delivered unit; subscription charges are always covered. If you don't request a refund within the period, you keep the right to use the service until the end of the paid term.

Acceptable use and user obligations

You agree to use the Site in good faith and in accordance with these terms, the law, morality and public order, and you are liable to us and to third parties for any damage arising from misuse. Don't upload content you don't have rights to. No reverse engineering, automated scraping, quota-bypass tricks or malware distribution through the service. Don't use AbsolutePDF to impersonate others or to issue fraudulent legal documents. We may suspend or terminate accounts that put other users or the service itself at risk.

Your content

You keep ownership and all rights to every file. By default the editor runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded to our servers. Only the files you explicitly save to your cloud library travel to our infrastructure, where we keep them while your account stays active. We don't access the content of your files except to run the tools you trigger. We never train AI models on your content.

Intellectual and industrial property

The AbsolutePDF software, brand, logos, trade names, design system and all related materials are protected by national and international intellectual and industrial property law, and belong to or are licensed by us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the service as intended. Any reproduction, distribution, public communication, transformation or commercial or non-commercial exploitation without our prior written authorisation is prohibited, as is removing ownership notices. Accessing the Site grants no right over its contents.

Security

The whole purchase flow, the transmission of personal data and payments run over secure pages encrypted with the TLS/SSL protocol. We apply technical measures appropriate to the state of the art, though absolute security of the service can't be guaranteed; in the event of an incident we commit to remediate with the utmost diligence. Notify us immediately at support@absolutepdf.com of any sign of identity theft or unauthorised access to your account.

Limitation of liability

We provide the service "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee error-free or uninterrupted operation, but do everything reasonable to keep it running. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; this cap doesn't apply to damages caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Because availability also depends on third-party providers, we don't guarantee the absolute absence of interruptions, errors or downtime, and we aren't liable for damage arising from causes beyond our control (natural disasters, force majeure, viruses, network failures, computer intrusions or third-party attacks).

Service modifications and availability

We may modify, add or retire features to improve the editor, fix bugs or comply with legal requirements. Material changes affecting the scope of the plan you've subscribed to are announced by email with at least 30 days' notice, and you may cancel without penalty during that window. Scheduled maintenance is planned outside European business hours where possible; we announce extended downtime in advance.

Termination

To delete your account, contact support by email from the address tied to your account; we erase your personal data within 30 days, in line with your right to erasure. You can cancel a subscription yourself at any time from the Payments section of your account; if you delete your account while a subscription is active, it is cancelled at the end of the current period. We may terminate accounts that materially breach these terms after reasonable notice, except where the breach creates an immediate security or availability risk.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a competent authority, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions stay in full force and effect.

Entire agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and AbsolutePDF regarding the service, and supersede any prior agreement on the same subject. Our failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver of it; headings are for convenience only and don't affect interpretation.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the law of Spain and, where applicable, by EU law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Spain, except where consumer-protection rules grant you a different forum. To ease resolution and reduce costs, disputes may also be submitted to equity arbitration before the Arbitration Tribunal of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry. For online contracts with consumers, the European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Language of the contract

These terms are available in Spanish and English. The contract may be concluded in either language. If there is any discrepancy between versions, the Spanish version prevails for users resident in Spain, to the extent required by applicable consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance, and we always show the last-updated date at the top of this page. If you don't accept the new terms, you can cancel your subscription before they take effect.

Customer support

We reply within one business day (Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 CET). Urgent security or privacy requests are prioritised.
