PDF pages read as white by default, so fully transparent areas simply show as white in the document. A logo or cutout with an alpha channel will look like it sits on white paper. If an oversized image has to be recompressed, its transparency is flattened onto white as well — same visual result.

Many tools re-encode everything to JPEG regardless of content, and JPEG was designed for photos — on flat colors and sharp text it leaves visible ring-shaped artifacts. This pipeline keeps PNGs in their native lossless form whenever possible, so a screenshot in the PDF is the same pixels you captured.

Each page matches its image exactly — no cropping, no stretching, no white bands added around it. A tall mobile screenshot becomes a tall page; a wide desktop capture becomes a wide one. Viewers and printers scale pages when displaying, so mixed sizes coexist fine.

The batch has an internal size budget so the resulting PDF stays practical. If a huge image doesn't fit its share, it's recompressed to high-quality JPEG instead of failing the conversion — and that only happens to the oversized file, not the rest of the batch. In everyday use (screenshots, graphics, exports) images are embedded lossless.

The uploaded PNGs are deleted from our servers right after the conversion — and always within 48 hours at most, enforced by an automatic cleanup. They're never published or reused. The PDF lives in your private cloud library, only for you, until you delete it.
