No. PDF supports JPEG streams natively, so when a photo is already upright it's embedded byte-for-byte — the literal same file inside the PDF, zero recompression, zero generation loss. Only photos that need rotation are re-encoded, and that happens at high quality from the full-resolution original.

Cameras and phones don't rotate the actual pixels when you shoot in portrait — they set an EXIF orientation flag that many tools quietly ignore, which is how sideways pages happen. This converter reads the flag on every photo and corrects the rotation automatically, so the PDF always comes out upright without you touching anything.

No — they're the same format with two spellings. The .jpg extension survives from systems that only allowed three letters; .jpeg is the fuller name of the standard. The dropzone accepts both, and they go through the exact same pipeline.

Each page takes its image's exact dimensions — nothing is cropped, stretched or letterboxed onto a fixed page. Portrait and landscape photos keep their natural shape side by side, and viewers or printers scale each page to fit when the time comes.

The uploaded JPGs are deleted from our servers right after the conversion — and always within 48 hours at most, enforced by an automatic cleanup. They're never published or used for anything else. Only the resulting PDF remains, in your private cloud library, until you decide otherwise.
